Four members represented SCEC at the World Rivers Day event on Sunday, September 24 at the Burnaby Village Museum. The event was well attended and there was quite a lot of interest in our displays particularly from children, who were very interested in the bugs and the birds’ nests! We were able to educate visitors on the importance of maintaining local streams, how the streams support migrating salmon, wildlife living in the watershed and the work we do to ensure the steams stay viable. Many had already heard of or attended our Great Salmon Send-Off!
SCEC reps were: John T, Maureen T, Christine L, and Les L.
