June-11_PLANT_PULL

On Saturday, June 11, 2016, six dedicated volunteers, of the Stoney Creek Environment Committee, donned rain gear and got down to business removing eight bags of invasive plant material from along Burnaby’s Stoney Creek. Native plants, that the birds and wild life depend on for food and shelter, now have a chance to grow. Our motto, there is no such thing as bad weather, just a poor choice in clothing!

If you would like to help with any of Stoney Creek’s streamkeeping activities please email info@scec.ca or check out our calendar for upcoming activities.

Become a member and make a difference in your community – students $10/year, individual $20, family/$30.  Hope to see you soon!
