2020 was a difficult year for all of us, but Jennifer and Matt managed to tend to the data logger on Burnaby Mountain.
The graph shows the high values over the dry summer months due to road salt in the groundwater that feeds the creek. Winter values have so far been lower than in previous winters as Simon Fraser University Buildings and Grounds have not spread as much salt. This is likely due to both the warmer weather with rain instead of snow and that not all parking areas are in use because of COVID-19.
